Dear Alke Boessiger --

You are at it again. This is about the 12th message about your being out of
the office that I've had to delete this afternoon. At this rate, you are
going to flood my mailbox again. You must be doing it to others.

Is it really so important for you to tell peoiple that you're out of the
office? I have literally hundreds of correspondents and none of them find
it necessary to put out this kind of message. Since you seem to be
technically incapable of doing it without spamming everyone you correspond
with, why not just let people send you their messages, and you can respond
when you get back from whererver you are going? 

I for one can live without knowing about your movements, just as you can
live without knowing mine.
