Congratulations Veni ¡!! Good to hear from you!!! 

I want to share with all of you that here in Argentina we are already
working with our goverment. They opened a door to us, and now we are sitting
in the same meetings as the private sector, and that’s very good for us
because we can bring them what we are discussin within the civil society
group.

 

We had a meeting with a lot of civil society organizations last week, and we
are bringing now the comments to the government.  We had a member from civil
society in  the governmental delegation at prepcom 2 and that will be the
same for the next steps I guess. 

 

This is very important, because Argentina has an important role now in Latin
America and our country is promoting the same attitude with the other
countries of our region.

 

Anyway,  we are just starting and it’s not easy! We’’’ have a new government
from next week, and we don’t know really who’s going to go on with the
process,  But we are improving the situation and we’ll go on working!

Dear Veri and all,

 

I agree that we do need to urge governments to include CSO representatives
to the governmental delegaitons. We from the Africa family have been
lobbying our governments to include at least 2 members from civil society
organisations and so far we know that Kenya for example are considering it.
