My schedule fortunately allows me to  attend those "informal
consullations"  which were sent with too little time in advance,
even to  allow people nearer to the crime scene to be
there.

I fully agree with you and I don't like such kind of  last minute
non inclusive meetings.  If you have some specific message to pass
to this meeting (including your complaint here), please let me know, and 
I would pass
it uncensored.
