Dear friends,
Happy New Year to you all, hopefully better than its tragic beginning!
Through our WG in Asia we are monitoring some of the activities on the
ground and channel information to OCHA and other agencies.
As of today we have a WSIS staff person. I will in time introduce her to
you. Next mandatory step is to secure/finalize logistics. The UN is still
closed today, and the person in charge, Danielle Boccard, on vacation until
the 10th when we have a meeting with her.
I thank the Youth Group for their contributions to the GFC document and urge
still others to think about input into the chapter: From words to action!
All best
Renata

Welcome back everybody,
I support Roberts approach. We have to practisize what we are preaching.

Hi All!
With the christmas and now new year festivities past us - I am keen
to have us all resume the activities, the joint collaborative effort
so that we can prepare the way for a successful PrepCom in Feb.
I want to follow-up on the comment I made back in Cape Town related
to what each and everyone of us was willing to help with, to commit
in the days and weeks ahead. There is much to be done, and much can
be done virtually.
Derrick repeated his earlier offer - to possibly help bring the
virtual tools that he has access to - to help the bureau work and
plan ahead. Earlier, we ignored his offer - this time, we can't
afford to say no. As such, i'd like to propose the bureau formally
accept his offer. Hopefully we can do so quickly so that we can have
a virtual meeting in the next week or two (if possible).
I look forward to all your comments - and of course, hoping we can
all work closely together in the days ahead to prepare the logistical
needs for our colleagues @ PC2
