Please note that I, and several others have ALREADY contacted the
Tunisian parallel event committee to inform them of the following:
1. That Event # 200 - CPSR/Human Rights watch - Cybercrime &
Censorship in Middle East & north africa
- is confirmed
- would NOT, like to be merged with another panel
- has been updated : revised list of speakers has been sent.
this specific panel proposal has been the subject of certain amount
of lobbying , and its progress through the approval process is being
tracked very closely. Would appreciate both the CSB's and CONGO's
support to have this session be approved. I would like to point out
that it is the ONLY session being organized by Civil society on the
issue of Cybercrime & Censorship
To have the session rejected, well , would be seen that the
organizers are trying to censor a particular organization and/or
topic from being discussed. There is no need for that to happen - one
just needs to be vigilant, and make sure that it DOES get APPROVED.
2. Event # 85 - EPIC - Privacy report -
- is confirmed
- would NOT, like to be merged with another panel
- has been updated : revised list of speakers has been sent.
