i think that's too harsh a comment. Deadlines are important. More
important are clear deadlines with clear instructions - with complete
details. I submitted something on time - by April 30th NY Time -
where the UN is based. What isn't clear , what hasn't been clear from
the begining are the details as for the time zone to observe. It's
one big black box - something we were promised would not happen.

censor is too strong a word , at least for me. must be something lost
in translation.

We don't have the details we need. We've offered to work together -
we've been told - sure - and then silence. For me that's equally as
worrying as things will likely get worse, not better..

that sort of clarifications needs to come officially. If there's any
issue i can't issue a press release stating "it was what i heard from
francis" - rather, i'd like to see it in writing from the ES and/or
from the Tunisian organizing committee.

It should be posted to the WSIS page - a page people see as official.

i don't want to take positions and start actions based on rumors.

let's follow an official procedure - have the concern transmitted
officially to the ES and tunisian organizers. Both verbally at the
upcoming meeting in Geneva, as well as in written form...

We proposed back in Feb, at the prepcom - to have a joint working
group. It is a point which seemed to have been well received - but
not taken up in any way, shape or form.

I would ask this too be transmitted in person and in written form. I
can't take pitty on governments that have plenty of resources. if
it's a developping or least developped country - fine, but france -
there shouldn't be an excuse for them to submit by a deadline. if
they get granted a deadline - well, of course - it should also be
granted to the other "stakeholders"

don't understand the phrase - can you please state in other words.
thanks.

i am not in favour of an addendum. I propose a follow-up document -
one which we state "recalling the B2B document" from wsis/pc2 - we
have the following to say..

for as much as it's a good idea. to be honest, i really don't think
the system will be used. by people who have submitted.

what i would - request - is that the Tunisian organizers post in a
public place , perhaps @ wsisonline, or elsewhere a list of entries
recieved, their status, the process involved in evaluating them, and
which ones will be approved. in summary - be at least as open and
transparent as phase I. We should ask for them to be more
transparent ...

neither do i. neither do i have the funding. By the way, any news on
funding for the CSB, civil society, fellowships or anything of the sort?

Prepcom 3 is only 4 months away, the summit is only 6 months away...

personally - i would rather have something that focuses on the
similiar structures in the past, the CSB and how it relates to the UN
reform/cardoso report.

Renata - what do you think?

regards
