One of the long standing complaints that people have against the CSB
is that we aren't too transparent. One way to respond to the
criticism is to improve the information flow.. How can that be done ?
Well, let me suggest one easy solution - that of getting the CSB
members to blog.
So how can we do it, well first we need a server with the
functionality. Preferability one that's hosted for free, and running
Free and open source software. It turns out that the people from
Civiblog and TuCows have graciously donated a space for people to
blog on and about WSIS.
The url is - http://wsis.civiblog.org/
There's not catch, no adds - just a nice space where those interested
in blogging can post comments, thoughts and news about WSIS. One can
post via email, online, or using a blogging client tool.
I think our fellow CS @ WSIS colleagues would welcome the initiative,
as it would allow them to not only gets news from mailing lists - but
an online RSS feed as well.
If you are interested to share your thoughts , be they in any
language you care to post messages in - do let me know so that I can
set up an account for you.
regards
Robert
