Dear Renata,

You would be taking a deep breath in NY.
Forgive me for pushing you back to work for another Summit.

As I informed, the number of overpasses for the official high-level panel for Civil Society would be 35.

With regard to the overpasses for the Plenary, we are considering to increase the number for the Civil Society by adding more chairs in the Plenary Hall.
However, we need some more time to finalize the number since we should check it from various view points such as security, finance and space.

I thank you in advance for your patience.

See you at PrepCom-3

Dear Toru,

Not being online all the time I just received all this and immediately tried to call you, but you had apparently left already.

1. On the topic of overpasses for the Panel event, CSB will draw up guidelines and distribute the 40 allocated seats

2. For Plenary I need to know whether 600 is the final amount, including Tunisian CS, or whether some extras will be given to the latter. In any event, CSB, together with Plenary, will also be responsible for criteria and distribution.

Best

Renata

Dear Philippe and Alejandra,

Could you forward the following message to Rinata and get her response by this Thursday?

I know she is very busy for the MDG+5 and feel sorry for asking this kind of question at this critical moment.

I thank you for your cooperation and understandings in advance.

***********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Allow me to pose you a question on a topic other than the space of the civil society in the Kram center..

We are currently considering the modality of the official panel which will be held in the evening of the first day in parallel with the Plenary.

Since the panel will be held in a room with 150 seats, we are considering to introduce another overpass to the audience to ensure the balance between different stakeholders.

Civil Society will get not more than 40 overpasses in total.

I would like to obtain you view if we can entrust you the distribution of this limited number of overpasses.

I have heard from Charles that you are facing a strong pressure from the newly accredited civil society entities in the host country.

Therefore, I would like to hear in advance if your secretarait can handle this new task or not.

If we go with the overpass, two options are considered.

1) CSB draws up the guideline and distribute the overpass ( similar to the plenary overpass)

2) WSIS-ES makes the list of invitees (probably by the first-come first-served on-line inscription) CSB distribute the overpass in accordance with the list ES made

I look forward to your reply.

Please forgive me for disturbing you in a really critical moment for the MDG+5.

Best regards

Toru Nakaya
