  Chers Tous,

Je voudrais avant tout, saluer une fois de plus les efforts que mènent Renata et son Equipe de CONGO, comme secrétariat exécutif du CSB,pour faire avancer le travail du CSB en particulier,et l'oeuvre de la Société Civile en général

Considérant sur le sujet concernant la composition et 
l'objet du CSTD,et suite à des discussions informelles,permettez moi de reprendre certains propos de ma déclaration faite à  la plénière des Chefs d'Etats et des gouvernements le 17 Novembre à Tunis :"........les objectifs de la Société civile africaine ne sauraient être atteints qu'avec le renforcement d'un partenariat multi acteurs ....."
Par conséquent:

1/ je propose et soutiens avec beaucoup d'énergie que le CSB soit 
impliqué dans la procèdure de sélection des membres du CSTD et que les coordinateurs et les Représentants des divers groupes thématiques, familles, caucus, 
 task force, de la SC soient naturellement des membres du CSTD pour le suivi 
du SMSI

2/ Il est nécessaire de considérer seulement les 
groupes qui ont été actifs pendant la 1ère et la 2ème phase pour éviter 
les manipulations de diverse nature.

3/ Autre préoccupation, et pas la moindre, est la 
representativité de la Société Civile africaine et autres pays en voie de 
developpement ou les moins avancés qui n'ont pas les moyens de participer 
aux rencontres, je suggère que l'UNCTAD mette en oeuvre un dispositif 
systématique de prise en charge des frais de déplacement en faveur de ces 
représentants.

Dear All,

First of all, I would like to salute, once more, the 
efforts of Renata and her CONGO team,as CSB executive secretariat, to advance the work of the CSB in particular,and the work of the Civil Society in general.

Considering the topic related to the composition and goal of the CSTD,
and following informal discussions, please allow me to quote some
remarks in my statement made at the WSIS plenary with Heads of States and Governments on November 17 in Tunis :
"........ the objectives of the African civil Society should be reached only with the reinforcement of a multi-stakeholders 
partnership ....."

Consequently:

1/ I propose and support with much energy that the CSB 
should be involved in the selection procedure of the members of the CSTD 
and that the coordinators and representatives of the various thematics groups, families, caucus, 
task forces of the CS should be naturally members of the CSTD for the follow-up of the 
WSIS

2/ It is necessary to consider only groups that were active during the 1st and the 2nd phases to avoid manipulations of various kind.

3/ Another concern, and not the least one,is the representativeness of the African Civil Society and other developing or less advanced countries,
who do not have the means to take part in meetings,
I suggest that UNCTAD implements a systematic procedure to take care of
travel expenses in favour of those representatives.

Je ne participe pas beaucoup aux débats parce que
momentanément en séjour au Niger.....
Je soutiens ton initiative et ta proposition.
Une personne aussi impliquée et aussi disponible à
Genève que notre ami et collègue Jean Louis est à
recommander le moment venu. Il est au courant de
toutes les bonnes et moins bonnes pratiques du SMSI à
toutes ses étapes.
Continues à être vigilent et aussi productif. Ta
capacité et ton énergie sont remarquables.
