THE POWER OF INTIMACY

Deep intimacy is a precious experience. There is much to explore in the area of intimate relationships between people and with nature. Intimacy can be touched upon in various ways.
The significant meeting of mindfulness with love acts as a catalyst for a deep sense of intimacy. The Buddha’s teachings point to a profound and fearless connection with life. Ultimately, there is the intimacy of Nirvana with Samsara. In this retreat, we will explore together some of our most significant experiences. At times, fear of being misunderstood holds us back from sharing our understanding.
The retreat will include extended times of silence, meditation sessions with clear instructions, indoors and outdoors, inquiry, as well as regular one to one meetings with the teachers. Suitable for new and experienced meditators.
Available for the weekend from Friday evening to Sunday at 3.pm.

Before the arrival of grey hairs, we can act as if we are immortal. We remember that one liner that wisely remarked that we won’t get to the end of our life wishing we had spent more time in the office. Is there any area of our life that is unfulfilled, incomplete and truly deserving wise application?
We delude ourselves into thinking that we have time. Perhaps we don’t. Every situation, every event is naturally full of infinite potential. In this one day retreat together, we will meditate, reflect and explore together what matters in our life.
I will invite people to come to the front of the Dharma hall, and start a sentence with “Before I die ….” Participants are encouraged to give some reflection to the theme before arriving. The day has the potential to be a turning point in our lives. A one day workshop suitable for the living.
