Initiative!
*** FREE PROGRAMMES FOR YOU TO ARCHIVE OR REBROADCAST ! ***
World Environment Day festivities will include special events focusing
on urban environmental issues. Each day of the 5-day event will focus on
a specific theme: Urban Power (energy, renewables and energy
conservation), Cities on the Move (transportation), Redesigning
Metropolis (waste diversion and the built environment), Pure Elements
food, water and air) and Flower Power (open space, biodiversity and
greening the urban environment).
Thousands of people all over the country take part in the annual Refugee
Week festival, celebrating the enormous economic and cultural
contribution that refugees and asylum seekers make to the UK, and
promoting understanding about the reasons why people seek sanctuary. You
can get involved by sending us audio programmes for World Environment
Day and World Refugee Day to help support the campaigns.
If you would like to have your material included and publicised in the
Programme Exchange archive, you need to ensure that programmes are
delivered as radio/audio programmes on a CD [as high quality: CD audio,
mp3, Ogg Vorbis or WAV files]
5th June: World Environment Day
Submission deadline: 18th May 2005
20th June: World Refugee Day
Submission deadline: 6th June 2005
DON'T FORGET that you can use programmes from the archive FREE in your
