Academy Community Leadership and Creative Arts Programme

Free Training in Using the Media in the Community

The training is available free to anyone who is involved in any
community activity or would like to be. There are three stages to the
training:

Step 1: What's it all about? June 2007
Half day introductory sessions to the media and community leadership in
Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley

Step 2: Getting in Deeper. July 2007
One day taster sessions:
* Hearing You Loud and Clear: Community Radio,
* Seeing you Loud and Clear: Community TV and video
* Loud and Clear Online: The Internet
* Loud and Clear in the News: Using the mainstream media

Step 3: Hands On: September to November 2007.
Intensive training in media skills for community leadership to be held
at the Drum Community Media Centre in Sheffield
