Dear all

For the past couple of days there has been strong activity on the various CS lists, trying to gather support for the nomination of Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi as key-note CS speaker.

Many have expressed their support and Meyrem Marzouki has put together a list of supporting entities, including a large number of the CS working group and caucuses. I would therefore suggest that the Education and Academia Task Force do the same, if there is enough support of the idea.

My organisation has already signed this petition, so I am only asking this because I think that we also as a group involved in WSIS, should support collective CS efforts to have the speaker we wish for nominated.
