Dear Jane
> Dear Francis
> Prior to the Geneva meeting in May, Divina
Divina is currently off the web, being on vacation
with her family, in an remote village in Catalunya
formulated and submitted text on
> OER as a suggestion for thematic focus in Athens. I think the text is quite
> extensive and very useful.

OK, but new documents must be submitted again to be taken into account
for synthesis paper.
----------
All papers that are submitted will be made available on the IGF Web site
in their original language. Contributors are encouraged to provide
translations of their own text in other languages.
Click here to read the substantive contributions received so far.

Yes, you can help. :-) !
Could you prepare
with the help of
Divina's documents and other documents,
a synthesis paper presenting the current OER situation
and some recommendations that would provide
background material for general info,
and hopefully for a workshop.
Please send this document in the name
WSIS-EDU group, before midnight.
I consulted the WSIS-SI group
that I coordinate, and we suggest that we
propose together with WSIS-EDU a joint workshop
entitled :
"Open Access to Educational and
Scientific Resources"
that would stand a greater chance to be accepted by IGF
than two separate proposals.
What does the WSIS-EDU thinks of this suggestion ?
I am going to prepare a synthesis paper
then on "Open Access to Scientific Information"
Thanks a lot and best regards
Francis
PS
I have just updated the site
http://oer.wsis-edu.org
( the site http://www.wsis-edu.org
is unfortunately not updated )
with UNESCO info.
