Estoy de acuerdo con Valeria que hay voluntad política para realizar
reuniones sectoriales relativas a la WSIS. Este tema ya habia sido
levantado durante la reunión en Bavaro cuando algunas de las
organizaciones que estuvimos allá señalamos/denunicamos las dificultades
de involucrar más organizaciones dado que no han sido ofrecidas becas ni
otros apoyos financieros.<br><br>
Durante Bavaro hubo una algunas rondas de discusión sobre poner en
marchar una propuesta para realizar una reunión latinoamericana de mismo
rango como va a ser realizada en Rio. Hubo contactos con UNESCO que
afirmó su interes en realizarla aunque no habiera fondos disponibles en
aquel momento con que comprometerse. se juntó un grupo impulsor para tal
tarea que quedó a medio del camino con la urgencia de articular los
aportes para los documentos de la cmsi hasta la fecha límite de 31 de
mayo. Asi que es sumamente importante retomar las discusiones dejadas a
medio del camino. Hasta porque la reunión de UN ICT TF seguramente se
realizara por fuerza de los actores involucrados, pero ante todo porque
ellos tomaron en manos la tarea de presentar una propuesta. Hagamos la
nuestra, pues, hasta porque muchos de nosotros ya fueron sondeados para
la realización de tal cosa.<br><br>

La Secretaría de la Fuerza de Trabajo en TIC de las Naciones Unidas

(UN ICT Task Force) anuncia la realización de la reunión regional <br>
para América Latina y El Caribe del sector privado!. <br>
La reunión se llamará: "Hacia la CMSI- Roles renovados del sector

privado" y se efectuará en Río de Janeiro, Brasil el 12 y 13 de
junio <br>

Esto no hace más que probar lo que muchos y muchas de nosotros/as <br>
afirmamos con insistencia: Hay voluntad política de parte de la

presidencia de la Cumbre, de la misma UN ICT Task Force, de UNESCO y
<br>
otros organismos e instancias para realizar procesos preparatorios <br>
sectoriales en nuestra región, pero no para la sociedad civil.
