Hi Tracey,

>1. Who in the Media Caucus will make it to PrepCom 3 a. Civil society
participation,
>especially from the south will be challenged as there is no support
available. I am trying
>to get there.

I SAW ON ANOTHER LIST THAT RONNY WILL BE THERE. SO THAT WOULD BE GOOD TO BE
THE TWO OF YOU THERE AT LEAST. I SUPPOSE THAT EDOUARD COULD JOIN YOU ALSO??

>2. Within the Civil Society structure we need to make a bid for a media
Caucus seat inside
>the Summit - agree?
OF COURSE

>3. Do we want to plan a press conference to take place at the Summit> This
can be arranged
>in advance by the organisers. Comment?
I WOULD LIKE TO VERY MUCH, BUT LET IT BE THE MEDIA CAUCUS THAT TAKES THE
INITIATIVE TO JOIN OTHER CAUCUSES FOR THIS. ON THE LATIN AMERICAN LISTS
THERE IS A LOT OF ANGER ABOUT THE PROCEDURAL EXCLUSION OF CIVIL SOCIETY: NO
TIME TO COMMENT ON THE NON-PAPER, NO TRANSLATIONS DURING SESSIONS OF 3A,
DOCUMENTS ONLY IN ENGLISH AND FRENCH (NOT IN OFFICIAL LANGUAGES: RUSSIAN,
CHINESE, ARABIC, SPANISH), AND OF COURSE ABOUT THE ALREADY KNOWN 'NORMAL'
EXCLUSION OF DISCUSSION. I THINK WE WOULD ALL SUPPORT IF YOU (TRACEY,
RONNY, EDOUARD) COULD TAKE THE INICIATIVE IN THIS ON OUR BEHALF.

>4. Shall we submit name/s of people to speak at the Round tables?
Suggestions?
YES. SUGGEST TRACEY, RONNY AND STEVE

>5. There is a request out for input to the 'alternate' declaration being
drafted as a
>stand by civil society position. I have consistently let the Content and
Themes group know
>to use our agreed text. Do we want to work on something else that would
have a home in a
>more visionary declaration?
NO. OUR TXT IS OK.

6. PROPOSAL
I WOULD LIKE TO PROPOSE THAT AS THE MEDIA CAUCUS WE SUBMIT AGAIN OUR TEXT
TO THE SAMMASEKOU NON-PAPER. (NOW REFERRING TO ARTICLE 52).
