[Media Caucus] PrepCom 2 / Phase 2 WSIS

The second PrepCom of Phase Two of WSIS has been announced. Registration
opens on January 5th. The meeting will take place from 17th-25th January and
there will be some meetings preceding this beginning with a likely Civil
Society open meeting on the 14th.

I hope that as many of you as possible can attend.

A focal point for each organisation must be confirmed by December 24th,
2004. I have indicated I am the focal point for the Media Caucus and that I
will facilitate registration for anyone who needs it.

Many of you will already have been accredited under the auspice of the
organisations you work for and should simply reconfirm this by sending name
and email to the Executive Secretariat in Geneva at fax number +41 22 730 58

My own participation will be dependent on availability of funds. I would be
most grateful if anyone can suggest suitable support mechanisms for me to
approach in this regard. I have prepared a budget and rationale that can be
sent immediately.
