Dear Media Caucus Members
Here is a summary of the nominations received to date for Media Caucus
representatives to be considered for the Working Group on Internet
Governance (WGIG) being convened by Kofi Anan, as a follow up to phase 1 of
the WSIS. You will recall that all the WSIS civil society groupings are
submitting names to a pool from which the working group members will be
selected.
Please note that a second working group will be formed in the near future on
Financing options for WSIS follow up.

If there are any further nominations, please forward them to the media
caucus list before September 15th.
Would those nominated please forward a message accepting or declining by the
same deadline.
If you accept the nomination, please send a short motivation on the reasons
you want to participate, the constituency you would represent, your
knowledge of the subject and the key messages you believe the media caucus
would get across as a result of your participation.
Whilst I would like to participate and represent a southern, developmental
perspective, I do not have the resources to engage in what will likely be a
four to eight month voluntary process.
I will however, continue to facilitate this process and ensure that
information is dispersed to the caucus as the working process unfolds.
Those of you who have so far been silent on the matter will be able to
submit you points of view to our representatives,, if they are selected to
the final composition of the WGIG.
Regards to all
