Well. I can give an independent view from developing country which happens to be software superpower and where Internet governance has had mixed response so far.
I was quite for I am not sure how much financial commitment is involved as I am not likely to get any support from my institution.

If anyone else has 'forgotten' to accept their nomination and wants to,
please do so in the next 24 hours, after which I will forward Aidan's
details to the appropriate contacts. He will then be placed in the selection
pool from which the UN will compile the group members.
