Dear Steve, dear all,
I agree.
I am also very concerned about the fact that no journalists/representatives
have been chosen to speak at the opening, roundtable and high-level panel of
a Summit on Information Sociey(!). As Media Caucus I think we should deal
with this issue.
I have been following the whole discussion around nomination of speakers and
don't intend to re-open or deepen it. I am wondering if anyone has
constructive suggestions of how to put freedom of expression and
information, journalists' rights, role of the media, etc. etc. back to the
agenda as one of the main elements of an information society and relevant to
civil society as a whole.
