Hello all

- are we fine with the charter?
[Max] I am fine with the charter.

- the charter mentions netiquette.
[Max] I agree that it is important to have defined netiquette. I would
suggest we use a wiki to 1) extract/distil 'permanent information' of the
discussion and collabowrite text 2) post profiles of members (including:
intended list activity, relevant history, purpose of membership) 3) to
evolutionary (need driven) define our netiquette

[Max] some first points for the netiquette:
Please do not raise many unrelated topics in one message
Please choose descriptive subject lines (and do not change them if you reply
to a message)
Search the archive and read the FAQ's before posting
Do not leave long passages of the original text when replying (take the
essential part or summarize what you understood)

- figure out the tools we want to use for joint collaboration and for
voting

[Max] I would suggest to use the listserv for discussion and a wiki for
collaborative writing and other permanent information. I would also strongly
support the development of a document stating recommended use of the tools
(best practice) especially for newbie's.

[Max]I like the www.jot.com wiki because it is the most user-friendly I
have seen so far. Alternatively I suggest a mediawiki it is opensource and
as many people know it (I think the definition-discussion separation is
quite practical)

Get to work:

- figure out what our immediate agenda is, e.g.:
   - MSH discussion and description?
[Max] sorry but what is MSH ?- mission statement?

greetings
max
