Hello all,

Many of you do not know me, so here's my blurb.

I have degrees in french litterature and computer science. Beginning in 1985, I've started, operated and sold businesses in IT consulting, prepress and graphic design, software localization and tech writing. I am now a consultant in change management, as an advocate for users in large IT projects.

I am a founding member of ISOC Québec and have been serving on its board since 2002, currently as president. ISOC Québec has been one of the instigators of ISOC Francophonie, an in-formation council of ISOC chapters in the "francophonie". ISOC Québec's Adel El Zaïm or myself have participated in WSIS since 2003, also representing ISOC Francophonie and, during the recent PrepCom 3 and WSIS II, as ambassador for ISOC World.

I am interested in global governance issues (UN and world federalism) and in Internet governance. I am involved in these because I believe local management of global challenges won't cut it until it is realized with a global perspective, and also because, as a proudly naive optimist, I see it as my duty to contribute ideas and actions that will make this planet a better place for those that will come after me.

I am involved in MMWG because I think it is an opportunity to improve the WSIS process. I was involved in WSIS because I saw it as a historic turning point in Internet's development, marking the moment it had become a common good and providing an opportunity to assess and rethink its development in order to make it truly ubiquitous.

I fully subscribe to ISOC's mission dedicated to promoting the open use of the Internet for all.
