Hi.

Bertrand came up with the 6 point format for submitting theme
proposals during the first IGF consultation in February
<http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/pipermail/mmwg/2006-February/000253.html>

Might be useful to introduce this to MAG as a base for discussion of
workshop criteria. Or, can we adapt/improve on these criteria, make
them even more relevant to workshops proposals, and then submit to
MAG?

"a. A concise formulation for the proposed [workshop] theme

b. A brief description of why it is important

c. How it is in conformity with the Tunis Agenda in terms of
substance, particularly in reference to para. 34 to 54;

d.  How it fits within the mandate of the IGF as detailed in para 72;

e. Who the main actors in the field are, who could be encouraged to
participate in the Forum and its thematic sessions. [might become
anticipated or invited workshop participants?]

f. Why should this issue should be addressed in the first annual
meeting of the Forum rather than in subsequent ones.
