SE FORMÓ EL “FORO DE COMUNICACIÓN Y PARTICIPACIÓN
CIUDADANA”
En la ciudad de Montevideo, el 31 de agosto de 2004,
reunidas las organizaciones, instituciones y personas
a título individual que suscriben la presente, se dejó
formalmente constituido el “Foro de Comunicación y
Participación Ciudadana”, con el objetivo de crear un
escenario de encuentro de los diversos actores de la
sociedad civil, fomentando la participación ciudadana
en relación con las Políticas Públicas en materia de
información y comunicación.

Del 3 al 6 de Agosto de 2004, más de 40 organizaciones
panamericanas y asiáticas se reunieron en Manila, Las
Filipinas, para acordar una estrategia y coordinar las
acciones para fomentar los Derechos a la Comunicación
en la región. Todos los presentes firmaron la carta
que WACC envió a SHIN Corp en apoyo a Supinya
Klangnarong, secretaria general de la Campaña por la
Reforma Popular de los Medios.
