<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">"Surveillance Status Report" of each
country. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">Civil society groups in the WSIS can have
better understanding </FONT><FONT
face="Times New Roman">about </FONT></DIV>

face="Times New Roman">legal or institutional initiatives by many governements
</FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman">through </FONT></DIV>

</FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman">among the users(or
nodes), </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">participatory or democratic political
</FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman">systems,
open source, </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">international
cooperation etc.. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">On the other hand, each individual's or
Internet uer's privacy </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">has been seriously threatened by the fast
growing database </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">empires worldwide, governments and
multi-national businesses </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">who have resources to put the data together
for the sake of </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">their own governance in the name of efficient
management. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">Civil Society Groups including NGOs have not
been effective</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">to respond to these well-designed attempts of
the Big-Brothers.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">Therefore, Korea Civil Society Network(KCSN)
proposes here </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">Civil Socities in the WSIS especially during
Paris Intersessional</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">meeting share each country's status. We
understand the following </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">threats in Korea become real
threats in other countries, too. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">-National ID card experience</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">-Real name registration in the online activity
[proposal]</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">-Bio Data/DNA
data recognition [proposal]</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman">-NEIS, Education administration database
network setup [proposal] </FONT></DIV>
