Dear Colleagues ,Friends and other Stakeholders,

We want to Congratulate Nnenna and our other Colleagues in the Cabinet of ACSIS for a

job well done in bringing out the dates and time table for the Civil Society Forum earlier enough. Now that the time table for the Civil Society Forum is out(July 1st to july 3rd)and the Regional Preparatory Meeting (july 5th to 7th 2005.)with yuly 4th as the Opening Ceremony,

we suggest that all hands should be on deck in order for us to correct the loop-holes that were obvious in the second African Regional Conference of the UN World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) held in Accra,Ghana between Jan 28th to Feb. 4th 2005.

If we may recall ,the last All Nigerian Delegates Meeting for the African Prep Com 2 Conference held on Feb.4th 2005 in Accra,Ghana we agreed among other things that all Nigerian Delegates to Ghana who spent their time, resources risk etc (as some Nigerians including my humble self , my colleagues in UNOY etc sponsored our-selves) to be in Accra will authomatically qualify to be members of the extented planning committee for the Regional Preparatory Meeting for the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-06),Abuja,Nigeria although the meeting was then speculated to hold by May 2005.

By and large with the lapses identified in the Ghana Conference, we hope we can come up better and more reliable. For the work of Volunteers in the Ghana Conference which was somehow un-co-ordinated especially the way and manner they shared the conference docoments/ bags etc and handling of other technical issues,we suggest we start the training of our Volunteers in time.As a seasoned ,trained and practical National cum International Volunteer,I hereby offer my services in both the Training ,Monitoring/Supervision of the Volunteers in order to achieve a holistic success UNLIKE the volunteers that participated in the 4th National HIV/AIDS Conference in Abuja,May 2004 AND

the recently held Accra Conference.I have almost finished the development of Volunteers Appplication Forms.Who and Who qualifies to be a Volunteer etc? After all the best Volunteers are not those with chains of University degrees but those who are

"MOTIVATED,COMMITED,DETERMINED,DEVOTED AND DEDICATED to donate their time ,resources, skills, talents etc in expecting nothing in return."

May i also suggest that all of us that were in Ghana should as a matter of urgent important volunteer our services in at least one area of human endeavour in other to motivate others who were NOT in Accra,Ghana to follow suit.

As i sign off this piece ,i hereby challenge all of us to contribute something/Somehow VOLUNTARILY in order to make Nigerian hosting of this Regional Preparatary Meeting come july 1st to 7th 2005 a Grand One.Hope to get your responces!

May i use this forum to THANK all Nigerians especially Engr.(Mrs.) Gonda,Officers from Ministry of Communications,Abuja,Mrs. Mary Uduma etc. who have supported and still supporting the Grassroots-oriented means of defending the wishes and aspirations of our NOBLE MEMBERS adopted by the CONCERNED NIGERIANS 4 WSIS 2005 whenever the need arises!
