and Technology for Development (CSTD) has decided, in its 9th session, held
last May, to select as its substantive theme for the 2006-2008 session

people-centred, development-oriented and inclusive information society, with a
view to enhancing digital opportunities for all people</span></b>".</span></i>

<i><span style='font-style:italic'>We are preparing a background note for the
upcoming panel which will be held next November. We would like to seek your
views and ideas particularly regarding the issues to be raised in this panel.
Also we will be grateful if you could provide us with inputs regarding case
studies and best practices that are related to the substantive theme and which
you think important to be incorporated in the note.</span></i> <br>
