A conference is to be held on March 19th 2007 at the Institute of Education, London.<BR>
<BR>
Conference focus: The future stewardship, or governance, of International Standards for Learning, Education & Training in general and, in particular, the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), as it is transitioned from its creators to its new international steward.<BR>
<BR>
The conference is being run in association with the Department for Education and Skills England (DfES), the US Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative (ADL - the developers of SCORM), ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 (the international standards committee), the British Standards Institution (BSI), the Institute of Education (London), the Schools Interoperability Framework Association and the CEN/ISSS Learning Technologies Workshop.<BR>

The organisers are also hosting, on behalf of the UK national standard’s body BSI, the upcoming meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 from 11th to 16th March 2007. SC36 is the International Standards committee for standards for ICT in learning, education & training and includes 29 national bodies with many of them participating in the Global Learning and Governance conference.</SPAN></FONT></FONT><FONT FACE="Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:12.0px'><BR>
