informal summary of a meeting which took place in Dresden on 16 January 2007,
at the invitation of the German Ministry of Foreign

European stakeholders who have been involved so far in the activities of the
Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN GAID), in preparation for the next
GAID Strategy Council and Steering Committee meetings (27-28 February 2007,
Silicon Valley, USA).<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

around 30 persons, and mostly consisted in an exchange of information
concerning on going initiatives and up coming meetings related to the
activities of the Global Alliance. Among the main outcomes of this meeting, we
must underline the establishment of the <B><SPAN
style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Europe network</SPAN></B> inside GAID.
