</font>You are informed that Government of Bangladesh has announced the
Community Radio Installation, Broadcast and Operation Policy 2008 on the
last 12th March 2008.<br>

We congratulate heartily the government for announcing the policy. We
also want to express our warm gratitude to the individuals and
institutions in home and abroad for assisting us in Community Radio
Advocacy in Bangladesh. <br>
<br>
The Ministry of Information of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
invited very rapidly the applications for Community Radio installation,
broadcast and operation from the interested organizations. The
application submission is open until 15th April 2008. <br>
<br>
English translated copy of the Community Radio Installation, Broadcast
and Operation Policy 2008 is attached herewith for your valuable perusal.
We hope to have your valuable comments and opinions on it.<br>
<br>

Communication(BNNRC)</font>has already opened the Community Radio Help
Desk with the following help and services to the interested initiators
step by step; <br><br>

the Community Radio Enthusiast with technical assistance;

.Assisting in filling the form up and following up with the concerned
Department, Ministries and Commissions in this
regard;</font><font size=3 color="#0000FF"><b>c.</b></font><font size=3>
Technical guidance for studio setup, broadcasting
equipments;</font><font size=3 color="#0000FF"><b>d</b>.</font>
<font size=3>Assist in acquiring relevant
software;</font><font size=3 color="#0000FF"><b>e</b>.</font><font size=3>
Baseline studies and need
analysis;</font><font size=3 color="#0000FF"><b>f</b></font><font size=3>
.Monitoring and Evaluation;
</font><font size=3 color="#0000FF"><b>g</b>.</font><font size=3>Capacity
Building including training on radio content production, editing and

We hope more than 50 pilot basis Community Radio Station to be
installed possibly in the whole country with the government and private
