We are pleased to announce that the annual World Congress on the
Management of e-Business conference organized by McMaster University’s
eBusiness Research Centre (MeRC) and the annual Privacy, Security and
Trust conference (PST) organized by the University of New Brunswick
(UNB) in cooperation with the National Research Council of Canada
Institute for Information Technology (NRC-IIT) are coming together in
2009. This joint event will operate as the 2009 World Congress on
Privacy, Security, Trust and the Management of e-Business and the
conference will take place August 25 – 27, 2009, in Saint John, New
Brunswick, Canada. <br>

E-Government Theme<br>
<br>
The roles of E-Government include, among its various definitions, the
application of information and communication technologies (ICT) to the
operation of government, including, but not limited to, its civil,
political, and administrative aspects. Priority topics for this theme
for 2009 are the following:<br>

* Civic intelligence<br>
* Internet Governance<br>
* Disability issues<br>
* Support for independent living and governance for an aging population<br>
* Open standards for e-Government<br>
* Radio, television, and telecommunications<br>
* New technologies for inclusion in governance<br>
* Human-computer interaction issues<br>
* Assistive technologies<br>
* Privacy<br>
* Implementations<br>
* Technologies to support and analyse policy-making<br>
* E-Government technology and research roadmaps<br>
* Next-generation technologies to support public services<br>
<br>
The themes for this track are not limited to the above. We welcome
high-quality papers on other topics related to E-Government.<br>
<br>
Paper Submission<br>
<br>
High-quality papers not under review or previously accepted or
published elsewhere are solicited. There will be Best Paper and Best
Student Paper awards. Paper submissions should be in the IEEE format,
with the first page bearing authors’ affiliations, names and contact
details. Accepted papers will be published in joint proceedings by IEEE
in hard copy and online. Selected papers will be published in a special
issue of the International Journal of Electronic Business (IJEB).<br>
