<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman"
size=5>The Government of Bangladesh has developed Community
Radio Installation, Broadcast and Operation Policy 2008. Based on the
policy, now the Ministry of Information is working to develop a National
Strategy Paper with the support of UNICEF.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT
size=2></FONT><BR><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=5>As part of the Strategy
development process for Community Radio, a consultation meeting has been
organized with the members of the civil society on <B>14 July at Press Institute
of Bangladesh (PIB) </B></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT
face="Times New Roman" size=5><B>3 Circuit House Road, Dhaka 1000 from 10 AM to
1 PM</B>. </FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT
face="Times New Roman" size=5>The purpose of the meeting is to get inputs form
the civil society to develop a national strategy on community radio for the
Ministry of Information. </FONT></P>

face="Times New Roman" size=5>Mr. Abu Bakar Siddque, Additional Secretary of the
Ministry of Information will present as a chief guest.</FONT></P></DIV>
