Hi all,
I am just trying to follow the current WGIG meeting in Geneva through
their transcripts and papers. In this course I have just noticed that the
International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications,
which is comprised mainly of data protection supervisory authorities, has
also sent a letter to the WGIG commenting on the importance of privacy
online a week ago.
See http://www.wgig.org/docs/Letter-IWGDPT.doc to read the letter.
As I am in Berlin this week, I will try to grab the chairman (Berlin's
data protection commissioner Garstka) and inform him about our activities.
Would be good to have them on board also, though the official
commissioners sometimes are quite lame (Garstka is not). I'll keep you
informed if I can reach anything.
Best, Ralf
