hi gus
we have 15 minutes to speak on Internet Governance as a whole. The Internet
governance caucus has drafted a statement and has enoucouraged caucuses to
support a core text and various principles such as human rights, privacy,
multi-stakeholderism - but, would then encourage caucuses to speak more
specifically on their issues.. for example, the HR caucus has specific
proposals that the IG caucus wouldn't support fully - central role of
governments - versus multi-stakeholderism - which you may agree with..,
privacy and security will want to focus on examples (IPV6 for example), and
specific concerns about security - media wants to focus on freedom of
press, journalist freedom etc - childrens' rights activists want to speak
about adherance to the rights of the child convention (which has some
articles re protecting children from content we certainly wouldn't want to
encourage the WGIG to take on..)
so, idea is IG would have maybe 4-5 minutes then, 2 -3 minutes for another
3 speakers or so..
