Re. the agenda Adam Peake and others are trying to get CS HR/privacy people in there. Ive suggested Gus and Meryem, but I dont know if they have been approached.
Re. govn people, Ive talked to our govn. rep. in GAC and she is quite aware of the HR/privacy agenda. But also aware that this is an uphill struggle at the moment.

Emne: [Privsec] ICANN meeting in LUX: closed GAC session on Domain and IP data for law enforcement
This meeting is taking place on the day before the ICANN meeting starts
officially. From what I've heard, it's organized by the US government.
Pretty scary, as there are not privacy / human rights people listed as
speakers. I have copied the draft programme I was able to get from early
June below.
Does anyone have good links to his/her government rep on the GAC and can
press them to ask some tough questions? Others are not allowed to attend,
it's invitation only.
Seemingly part of the USG efforts to structure the whole internet
governance debate in their favour - which is around security and nothing
else, it seems. (If you haven't heard about it yet, they have already
busted the upcoming WGIG report. See the heated discussion on the Internet
Governance caucus list: https://ssl.cpsr.org/pipermail/governance).
Best, Ralf
