Maybe we should wait until the WGIG report is released (18 July or a few 
days before). The we can see much clearer what is in it about privacy & 
security in internet governance. (And we already have our past statements, 
especially the one on IG and Privacy from PrepCom2.)

No. The DPA conference ends on Friday 16th Sept, the PrepCom starts on 
Monday 18th.

EDRi is currently discussing with the Swiss Internet user Group, the Swiss 
WSIS NGO coalition and some others to organize an event during the DPA 
conference. I will be there, and hopefully some others of us. The 
conference fee is pretty high, but we might get a discount for NGO 
"observers".

We should also have something at the PrepCom, right. My suggestion is to 
try and involve the International Working Group on Data Protection in 
Telecommunications, an informal group that mainly consists of DPA 
officials. They are interested in Internet Governance, but do not really 
understand yet how the WSIS works.
