Gus, Bruce and other members of this WG:

I have spent the better part of the last 2 hours scanning the
materials that I received this past friday regarding the upcoming
Government of Canada consultation with Civil Society on their Lawful
access proposals.

I have quickly scanned the documents and have placed them all in a
PDF. I know the quality isn't as good as it could be, but good enough
(i hope) for everyone to read.

The file is approx 5Mb in size and is online at the following URL:

http://www.greatvideo.com/~rguerra/lawful-access-05b.pdf

I would appreciate any comments, revisions and/or specific points to
raise at Wed's meeting. I know it might be asking too much, and with
too little notice...Perhaps we would have some more time if the govt
had sent the documents in electronic form....

As the documents are marked "not for further distribution" - I don't
want to get into trouble with DoJ. So , I ask that you don't
circulate them too widely, at least not yet.

In regards to comments, i'd ask that you :

- email them to me - rguerra at privaterra.org - ASAP (by tomorrow
night, March 8th ) or 6am EST March 9th (by the latest)
- mention your name and/or organization in the comments, so that I
can make sure to give you credit in the consultation.

On wed i'll ask for an email address to send comments, and will post
them to the list so that they can be send directly .

Again, I appreciate any help you might be able to offer in regards to
specific comments on this very important consultation.

regards

Robert
