I am surprised by the rush to legislate on this, and the short 
'consultation' even though, as you say, the proposals sound progressive.

There are always little catches, such as how they regard SMS, web-traffic 
data.  And on the CoE convention, they are still missing out the mutual 
legal assistance components which would cause trouble, I imagine.

I'd like to have the chance to go through the actual proposals in more detail.
