Following up on Robert's post from almost a month ago:

The ITU will hold consultations on the "confidence & security" action line
for WSIS implementation on 15 and 16 May at the ITU headquarters in
Geneva. The contact at ITU is: Christine Sund, Tel. +41 22 730 52 03, Fax
+41 22 730 64 53, cybersecurity at itu.int.

From the draft agenda you can tell that it is mainly being narrowed down
to "cybersecurity", but privacy and consumer protection are still
mentioned. This needs some reaction. We should give a coordinated input
following our positions and lobbying in the WSIS phases. One avenue might
be using what the ITU wriotes in the draft agenda:
"harmonizing national legal approaches and international legal
   coordination".
While they relate it mostly to cybersecurity, we could use it to push
again for the proposal for developing a global legal framework for privacy
protection which we submitted to the Internet Governance Forum consultations.

First of all: Is anybody going to be there?

Best, Ralf
