Working Group on Data Protection and Telecommunications (IWGDPT).

At its recent meeting in Washington D. C. on 6 - 7 April 2006 the Working 
Group has taken note of a proposal by the WSIS Civil Society Privacy and 
Security Working Group dated 7 February 2006 for "A Global Privacy Forum 
for a Global Privacy Protection Framework". I attach a copy of the 
proposal we have received at the time for your information.

The Group has asked me to inform you that we fully support this proposal. 
I would be obliged if you could take this into account in the future 
preparatory work for the Internet Governance Forum.
