SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will consider an ordinance Tuesday that would keep kids from visiting cyber cafes to play video games during school hours.<BR>
<BR>
The move is designed to crack down on truancy.<BR>
<BR>
The proposal would ban children under 17 years old from renting computers to play games during school hours. The ban would also be in effect after 11 p.m. on some weeknights. <BR>
<BR>
Cafe owners who violate the law could face a $100 fine and as much as a $750 penalty for repeat offenses.
