<pre>Dear Friends,<br><br><br>Greetings from UgaBYTES...<br><br>Plans for the fifth East African Telecentre Leaders Forum (EATLF) have<br>been completed. The event will take place in the Sudan's Gadaref City from<br>1st to 4th May 2008.<br>
<br>The EATLF is a knowledge sharing platform for Eastern African countries<br>that occurs twice a year. It is hosted by different regional countries on<br>a rotational basis focusing on different themes.<br><br><br><font color="#ff0000">>>Call for participation</font><br>
<br><br>Invitation is open, for participation until April 7th 2008.<br><br>The 5th EATLF venue has been strategically selected to allow easy and<br>strong participation from Eastern African and Mid East countries<br>including; Somalia, Ethiopian, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, Egypt, Rwanda,<br>
Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Burundi. Other countries outside the region<br>that have so far registered representation include Canada, South Africa<br>and Mozambique.<br><br>In the previous four events participants have come from Chile, Canada,<br>
USA, UK, Sweden, Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda including<br>both practitioner and development partners.<br><br><br><font color="#ff0000">>>Registration</font><br><br><br>Registration fee is US$ 90 for Eastern African participants and US$ 150<br>
for participants from other countries. Please contact the<br><a href="http://ugabytes.org:2095/3rdparty/squirrelmail/src/compose.php?send_to=secretariat%40ugabytes.org">secretariat@ugabytes.org</a> for details.<br><br>30 full board scholarships for accommodation and 15 for air tickets will<br>
be available for Eastern African participants for early registrants.<br><br>Self sponsored participants; please note that full board accommodation has<br>been negotiated to US$ 130 per day. But limited places are available for<br>
early registrants. However, free transport between Khartoum and Gadaref<br>city has been arranged for all participants.<br><br><br><font color="#ff0000">>>Organizational Support</font><br><br><br>Development partners who would like to support a participant or part of<br>

Microsoft and SDC, Gadaref Digital City Organization and UgaBYTES.<br><br><br><font color="#800000">>Highlights</font><br><br><br>This 5th EATLF will be co-hosted by UgaBYTES <a href="http://www.ugabytes.org/" target="_blank">http://www.ugabytes.org</a> and<br>
Gadaref Digital City organization <a href="http://gedaref.com/index.php?lang=ar" target="_blank">http://gedaref.com/index.php?lang=ar</a>.<br>The event will be preceded by a two weeks online session between April 7th<br>and 22nd 2008, which will be open for global participation. The event will<br>
also have side-by-side exhibition of telecentre work, new technology and<br>regional service providers' products. The Sudan Telecentre Network will be<br>launched in the event.<br><br><br><font color="#800000">>Visa Application</font><br>
