[Michael Drummond]

Dear Bahiyyih, 
My name is Michael Drummond and I am a resident of Geneve. I am  interested in joining the upcoming World Summit on the Information Society congress at the ITU in Geneve from Dec 10-12, 2003. However, I am not familiar with the NGO world and so have no contacts therein.

I write to ask if it would be possible to ask for accrediation through your NGO. I wish to be able to attend to meet like minded people who are concerned about the inability of non-Western universities to afford ON LINE ACADEMIC JOURNALS. Thus there is a monopoly on academic information in the developing world: only the elites have access to this very valuable scientific information. 

Please note that I am a PhD candidate in Buddhist Psychology at the University of Utrecht in Holland. I have lived for 25+ years in Asia and have spent quite a few hours in class rooms teaching people to read academic articles, thus I can say that my interest is based on experiential knowledge. 

 Any assistance in this matter that you could provide me woudl be greatly appreciated.
