Mr Ebbeler

You have sent the spam below, entitled "506 / The United World Visions
Festivals on Global Issues for a new global information society ", to G-d
knows how many mailing lists in Bcc (the address for "From: VROs United
World Vision Festivals" and "To: Robert J. Ebbeler " is the same:
rockproject at 6xa.nl )

There were 2 attachments with it: "Business-plan and case 1.1.doc (130Ko)"
and UN.ppt "(400 Ko)" saying roughly the same things: sum total of the
e-mail 722 Ko. Do you realize what it means to get a 722Ko e-mail if you
only have a slow dial-up connexion and a web-e-mail account with 2000Ko
storage? If you don't, what business do you have launching a start-up meant
"to create an outlet for information and communication technologies for a
new global information society"? You have your own websites, www.6xa.nl and
http://www.thevirtualrockopera.org/ (1) - why did you not just link to the
latter, which offers again the same content?

The two attachments were in proprietary format, Microsoft Word and Microsoft
Powerpoint, and yet, in the powerpoint, you state (slide 25):

"1 Its R&D for application Software
 (technical innovation)

The venture will deliver proven knowledge on how to develop internet based
applications (R&D #1: cable and wireless)
for cognitive systems (R&D #2: content)
for world-wide use.

Culturally, Artistically and Technologically
it will always remain an open-source-project."

"open-source" is a vague term, and the "open-source" movement is
characterized by its "purely technical" approach, its refusal to tackle
ethical issues in information society, sure. Nevertheless, it certainly does
not cover programs like Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint.

Viceversa, are Microsoft and MSN really likely - as you state - to support a
project that "will always remain an open-source project"? A search for
"United World Visions Festivals on Global Issues" in google gives ONE hit -
your site. See
http://www.google.ch/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22United+World+Vision
s+Festivals+on+Global+Issues%22&meta=

Zero mention of your project at www.un.org , www.microsoft.com , www.ibm.com
, www.english.uva.nl/ or www.vu.nl/ , i.e. the sites of your purported
supporters.

Whom are you hoping to take in, Mr Ebbeler?

Subject: [Values-ethics] 506 / The United World Visions Festivals on Global
Issues for a new global information society

Dear colleagues,

The 31st of October latest our foundation received a honorable invitation
from the United Nations (New York) to come-up with a proposal for our United
World Visions Festivals on Global Issues. They suggested to invite other
(charity) institutions and invite them to take part in the endeavor,
which -according to them- will be of special interest for much of the
project has to do with the United Nations 8 Millennium Development Goals.
The web-based platform will become a knowledge-based global website with a
commitment to enrich and sustain the lives and livelihoods of poor and
excluded people throughout the world in collaboration with us, the rich from
the west

Our mission is to create an outlet for information and communication
technologies for a new global information society. Through this venture we
hope to resolve a percentage of the problems that the 8 MDGs are confronted
with.

We present "The United World Vision Festivals on Global Issues". Together
with the United Nations we invite you to adopt this initiative that will be
created by:
Foundation The Virtual Rock Operas
MSN Microsoft
IBM
The European Union
The University of Amsterdam
and many other global strategic partners.

The question is how to collaborate globally?

After several years of research we realize that we what are achieving is a
new, creative way for quick-acting means to spread the benefits of the
digital revolution and avert the prospect of a two-tiered world information
society.

The venture is a start-up of Computer Science to create new Software
Engineering for Information Management in combination with useful content.
We (the consortium) focus ourselves in research and development of
interactive systems both technically and creatively. That is, we try to
merge exact science with artistic expression. Concretely, we develop
multimedia and virtual reality technology to support artistic ideas, while
improving scientific methods for system requirements validation and
usability testing. Another focus is to combine Web design, task analysis,
avatar and agent technology, and human-computer interaction for general use.
Our partners want to commit themselves to requirements engineering in
different stakeholder groups for the VROs / UWVF Internet software platform
from a multi-cultural perspective. Moreover, together we wish to provide
artistic content to implement the mission of global communication and
universal access. Our mission is therefor to let those who live in isolation
(poverty) to become a person of the world in collaboration with the riches
by

The aim is to stimulate understanding through communication and educational
road-maps, to sustain peace, to educate about health matters. The weapon we
use for this is e-ART.

>From the start we asked ourselves: "What unites peoples more effectively
then those who are able to create art together?" Imagine this being true and
ICT could help to accomplish the 8 MDG, your and our missions?

We hope you'll be become a stakeholder in this challenging venture.

For more information please read the attached (short-version) documents.

Sincerely yours,
Dr. Robert Ebbeler
