Dear fellow caucus participants,
Several people who are interested to contribute a text on their community's
perspective have asked me to provide them with further details about the
expectations for the papers. I have drafted a more elaborate Call for Papers
type description of how I think our contribution to the IGF as Caucus would
make sense. Please give feedback as I am a bit unsure whether there is
interest to organise a compendium of texts and a side event at the IGF in
October????
One relevant question is who of us will be in Athens? Please indicate also
tentative attendance!
And if we decide to use the following call - please ENSURE THAT MY AWFUL
GERMAN/DISLEXIC faux pas are edited out :-)

Call for papers - Ethical & Axiological Perspectives on Cyberspace
On the occasion of the Internet Governance Forum (to be held on the 8th of
October in Athens), the Civil Society Caucus on Ethics & Values is planning
to present and discuss a compendium of papers portraying ethical and
axiological perspectives on cyberspace.
We invite paper contributions from different cultural, religious and
scientific community's that seek to depict their understanding of cyberspace
and how it can be brought to its full potential. Thereby authors are invited
to elaborate on ethical threats and opportunities of the globalized
information society in general and of cyberspace in particular.
Our goal is to (1) raise contributions which map-out the diverse ethical
perspectives about and interacting in the global socio-technological sphere
created by the internet and (2) to organise a stimulating event for
individuals who wish to explore and discuss the governance of the internet
from an ethical and axiological perspective.
Please indicate your interest to contribute a paper as soon as possible.
Final papers should be between 2000 and 5000 words (6 to 15 pages) long, and
have to be submitted for the caucus' consideration no later than August
15th.
Please also indicate whether you are interested to participate and present
the paper at the Ethics & Values Caucus side event planned to be organised
on the occasion of the Internet Governance Forum in Athens (8th October
2006)

Hope this makes sense???
Best wishes
Max
