Hello my dear peers from the values and ethics caucus

As some of you might know, i am working with the IGF's Internet Rights and Principles Coalition to advocate for a humanistic / human rights based internet governance regime.

We have just authored a report on values, principles and rights for internet governance. If you are interested, and would like to give feedback to the final draft please send me a message.

Also we are holding workshops during the IGF in Egypt in Nov 2009. We are still looking for speakers who could contribute the values/ethics perspective. Please tell me if you are interested.

Looking forward to hearing from you
Max

< : > < : > < : > < : > < : > < : > < : > < : > < : > < : >

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

A few weeks ago we were talking about how the caucus can stay involved and
contribute to the Internet Governance Forum in Oktober 2006 in Athens.

My suggestion is to produce and present a "Compendium: Axiological ethicial
perspectices on Cyberspace". Individual Caucus members (as representatives
of their respective communities/organsiations) write a text outlining the
ethical & axiological connections, potential, as well as threads and
opportunities that they (and their community) see present in the
internet/cyberspace.

So far I have consulted with some caucus participants who have indicated
interest to contribute a text:

Chris Drake - Brama Kumari
Levi Bautista - Methodist Church
Shaila Mistry - Hinduism
Laina Raveendran - said she would look for someone in the Baha'i Community
Max Senges - Pantheism

It would be great if we found more authors. Would you be interested to write
a text? Do you know someone who you can ask?
