FABULOUS FESTIVAL LINE UP!

Broadcasting Minister Shaun Woodward will open the Community Media 
Association Festival and AGM 2006 in London on 25 November.

BOOK NOW to avoid disappointment!

* Daniel Meadows from Cardiff University and Steve Thompson from the 
University of University of Teesside share their ideas about 
'Convergence and Community Media's digital future'

* Kevin Carey, Director of humanITy and member of the Ofcom Community 
Radio Fund panel will speak about building a sustainable sector.

There are also chances to gain new skills at a wide range of practical 
workshops:

1. Lawrie Hallet, author of the Lawrie Hallett, the author of the 
Community Radio application form and guidance will lead a special 
workshop for groups applying to the second round of Community Radio 
licensing.

2. Mike Shaft from the BBC looks at practical implementation of the 
CMA/BBC Partnership.

3. Darren Hemmings from Resonance FM will show you how you can set up 
your own podcasts

4. Pat Cochrane from Cape UK will give an update on the 'Arts and 
Community Radio' research.  A project managed by the Community Media 
Association (CMA) and funded by the Arts Council of England with 
strategic support from the Department for Culture Media and Sport.
