Dear GreenNet user,

You may have seen in the recent GreenNet newsletter, information
about a conference we are organising around the issues of gender and
ICTs. However, we would like to remind you that bookings must be made
by Wednesday 14th May.

In case you haven't seen the notice of the event - some background
info:

A main aim of the event is to follow up on WSIS (World Summit for the
Information Society) UK activities, and raise awareness around ICT
policy issues for UK women's groups, specifically highlighting issues
of security and privacy. This event will also be used to present the
GEM (gender and ICT evaluation methodology) to UK groups, and to work
further with groups interested in using it. The main aim is to work
towards building a more cohesive network of gender and ICT advocates
in the UK.

This event will be hosted in London on May 20th and 21st, in
conjunction with WomenConnect.

The event will look at how women's organizations in the UK were
using, are using and could be using Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) to sustain their work, challenge inequality and
bring about social change. The event is free to attend.

More information at the website:

Let me know if you would like to attend, any questions email me. If
you are interested but can't attend the event, let me know and I can
keep you posted with any follow up activities.

thanks,
Joanne
