Dear ALL,

http://www.itu.int/wsis/participation/accreditation/cs.html

Following numerous requests for accreditation/registration for the WSIS
process we have encountered much confusion in yr requests. Please kindly
note the following accreditation/registration procedures for the upcoming
PrepCom2, 17-25 February 2005 Geneva. There are 2 different procedures to
follow BOTH MANDATORY: ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION!!!

ACCREDITATION

Entities accredited during the first phase of the Summit (Geneva) remain
accredited for the second phase (Tunis). All NGOs and Civil Society entities
who are NOT IN CONSULTATIVE STATUS with ECOSOC had to obtain accreditation
(as deadline expired on Jan 6, requests submitted after the deadline can NO
longer be considered for PrepCom2, can ONLY be considered for PrepCom3).

All NGOs and Civil Society entities in CONSULTATIVE STATUS with ECOSOC do
not have to go through the full accreditation process. They should
nevertheless submit to the Executive Secretariat their wish to participate
in the PrepComs and the Summit, 2 weeks in advance of each PrepCom, by
sending in the following form filled accordingly:
http://www.itu.int/wsis/docs/accreditation/ecosoc

REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION is NECCESSARY for EACH PrepCom and for the Summit events. Only
accredited NGOs and CS entities in consultative status with ECOSOC can
register. As entrance in the Palais des Nations is subject to serious
security measures, you need to submit for registration a FULL and EXACT list
of names/participants on behalf of the entity you represent. Please fill-in
the following form available at:

http://www.itu.int/wsis/docs/accreditation/ecosoc

Accreditation/registration with PrepComs DOES NOT cover your
airfare/reservations/hotel fees. CONGO DOES NOT provide any funding for
transportation/accommodation fees. All expenses are SOLELY at participants’
charge.
