SV: SV: [Privsec] 16-17 Feb: Consultations on Internet GovernanceForum, Geneva

Hi

My point was not for the Berlin group to submit to CFP but to submit to IGF consultations in Geneva in feb, and to get involved in that process. At this stage, it should mainly be key points related to the forthcoming IGF process, since no one will discuss substance at this stage.

Sorry if I was not clear before.

The next scheduled meeting of the Berlin Group is 6-7 April in
Washington. Not sure they will want to come back less then a month
later. However, one of their outcome documents could be presented at
CFP.

Personally, i think the role and significance of CFP isn't much these
days. It's not really the cutting edge and significant conference
that it once used to be.

I think there could be more gained from lobbying for Privacy at the
IGF that participating at CFP. The big question is - how do we do
that with now several meetings planned in the next month of so. i
think written submissions from this group and perhaps the Berlin
group are the best way we can at least place the topic on the table.

regards

Robert
